Here's my painting for the Summer Queen week. I'm not happy with it, I rushed painting it a bit because I was really tired of painting bright happy things lol. Anyway, I might as well post it anyway!

My rather late bad girls, I did a better pencil sktech but couldn't get a scan or photo so this is a very quick sktch in paint for KDE.

So

The daughters of Queen Ygraine from her previous marriage

Elaine the regent whose vanity brought a kingdom to ruin and made warlords of honest men. (and was punished by being able to view the world only through a mirror (a.k.a "Fair maid of Astolat" or "Lady of Shalott")

Morgause, who, for the purpose of blackmail, before he was told of her identity, knowingly seduced her half brother when he came out of hiding and conceived the son that would kill his father and throw the kingdom back into civil war.

Morgana, who stole the sacred scabbard, thus condemning the rightful queen to infertility, bringing famine to the land, and depriving her half-brother of its magic protection so he could be slain by his son/nephew (a.k.a Morgan le Fay)

Seeing as their step father had their father killed so he could marry their mother I suppose it is understandable that they should have issues with their half brother.

A character from my in-forever-progress (graphic) novel. I named her Apollyon (even though, biblically speaking, Apollyon is male and the same fallen angel as Abbadon - who is also a character from my book). She has the same basic characteristics of plague and pestilence, but with that thing about her that makes it hard not to cave into carnal desire. i took her colouring and markings from poisonous tree frogs.
